 Mission Statement Minimize

OUR MISSION

Team Lowcountry Baseball club is a teaching program designed to allow youth baseball players the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge of the game. Our desire is to help players further their anticipation in this sport so they can enjoy this game for many years. A parallel goal for the Tiger program is to create socially responsible citizens that are also athletes. We hope all of our players go on to higher levels of play, but it is more probable that most of our players will become parents and coaches instead of career athletes. We hope the lessons they learn as a member of our program will be passed along to generations that follow. Founded in principles of education, good sportsmanship, and community respect, we are Team Lowcountry.

OUR HISTORY

Team Lowcountry Baseball Club was established in the fall of 2002.  It was the vision and goal of the founding group for the organization to grow over the next several years and be formally recognized as the class of travel baseball programs and a feeder system into the local Middle and High School baseball programs.  It was the intent of the organization to expand their local community commitment and support as well as the number of select baseball teams to support this goal.

Back then there were two teams and 20 total players in the organization and the governance fell under the “Coach’s Council” made up by the founding coaches.  Today we have become one of the largest formally organized travel baseball organizations in the Lowcountry with an organized non-profit booster club.  We have placed several baseball players into the local middle and high school programs at Alston, Gregg, Oakbrook, Dubose, Summerville Catholic, Rollings, and have recently place our first set of players into Fort Dorchester, Summerville, and Pinewood Preparation baseball programs.  In the near future, we hope to have our first alumni receive scholarships into college baseball programs.  We have received formal recognition from multiple local high school Athletic Directors, college baseball programs, travel program directors, the Chamber of Commerce, and the North Charleston Director of Recreation.
